So Busy....

Hey Everyone,

I am so sorry it has taken me a little while to post!!  I have been so busy trying to get our store growing and building an audience, that I haven't had time to blog!  I would love to say that I do appreciate you all who support us and share our store with others, we really can't do it without you!

Since I got both girls to go down for a nap at the same time, I thought I would write a quick post and add a couple outfits from my past weekend!

My husband and I don't get very many date nights with two kids, him being a CPA ( very busy this time of year) and growing our little boutique, so when we do get one I like to go all out and dress up for him!  This past weekend he took me to this great spot here in Indy called Eddie Merlots.  This place is a little on the pricey side so this was a major treat!  I ended up getting scallops (which were to die for!!!) and he got steak!  Here is what I wore for our little date.....

Killing Me Softly dress, target shoes, kohls tights

The next morning we had a day full of errands and visiting my grandmother in the nursing home! She is doing much better, and even walked on her own the other day!!  This is a huge accomplishment seeing how she is 93 years old and broke her hip only 2 months ago! This woman is a freak of nature and I love her more than anything!!  So here is what I decided to wear for our day out.....

Evening Stroll Sweater, Guess booties, black leggins

Love my Guess booties!!

Just a cute little shot of the girls and myself having a shoe party!  They love getting in momma's shoe closet!!

We have many new Spring arrivals in our shop so make sure you head over to the store and check them out!!

Love,

All About Liverpool Jeans

Hello Lovelies,

If you follow my blog or twitter you know that I am in love with Liverpool Jeans!  I have never owned a pair of jeans (especially since becoming a mom) that fit me perfect in all the right places!  Lets be honest here and say that most jeans your booty crack hangs out, your loose muffin top from our wonderful children hang out, or you wear them for about an hour and all the sudden they are so stretched that you are constantly pulling them up!!  I know I am not the only one with these problems!  So when I went to a show in Chicago and was introduced to Liverpool Jeans I didn't have high expectations!  I went home and thought about it because I really wanted an amazing pair of jeans for my customers.  I will not buy anything for the store that I personally wouldn't wear.

So....after a lot of research and asking around I decided to give them a try and ordered them.  I can honestly say it was the best decision I have made since starting PipLey Vintage.  These jeans are seriously the most amazing, comfortable, adorable, and flattering jeans you will ever own!  They have changed my wardrobe drastically!  They fit right at your belly button, so no "over hang" or "booty crack", also they keep their fit the whole day so you are not constantly pulling your pants up!  They have a little lift in the back end for you, and also help pull in your tummy!  They were definitely made for a woman!!  Another really cool fact about them is they have bought the rights to the Beatles, so every pair has been named after a Beatles song and has their song lyrics inside the jeans!!  Very cool I must say....

So how do I wear them and what do I pair with them??  I will show you some of my favorite outfits with them, but please know there are many more!!

Our Abby Skinny Jeans in Plum with a vintage top

Abby Skinny Jeans in Yellow with a vintage top

Abby Skinny Jeans in Dark Hand Sand with a vintage top

Our Abby Skinny with our Secret Admirer top

Abby Skinny Jeans with our A Day in Paris Cardigan
My little Finley had to get in on the action!

Like what you see??  Click on the links and head on over to our store PipLey Vintage and get yourself a pair or two!!  It will be the best money you have spent!

PipLey

A little love story....

Hey everyone,

With it being Valentine's day I thought I would let you in on how my husband Greg and I met.  We have been married for 5 years now (6 years this June) and it has been one roller coaster ride.

As most of my family and friends know, I don't do anything slow.  If I think about it I do it, if I want it I get it right then, I am not a patient person at all.  So when I first met Greg and knew it was right I didn't waist anytime at all!!  Greg on the other hand is the complete opposite.  He is a CPA and yes fits all the stereotypes!  He is very analytic, laid back, patient, and can't make a decision without thinking about it for a while!!  So how does it work.....it just does!!

On October 15, 2005 my mother, her friend, and myself headed to a local country bar called 8 seconds.  I had just gotten out of a long term, horrible relationship about 2 days before that and was in no way looking to start another one...but apparently God had other plans.  I was having a drink with my mom when a guy came over and asked if my mom would kiss his friend on the cheek for his birthday.  She asked where he was and in enters my future husband!  She grabbed his cheeks and gave him a kiss....then my moms friend who pretended to be my aunt for the evening got a hold of him and took him out on the dance floor.  So before I could even say hi to him, my mom had kissed him and he danced with "my aunt", yes he has never lived that down.  As the night wore on Greg and I got to talking and he asked for my number.  I for once in my life gave a guy at a bar the correct number and I am glad I did.

He called the next day, and we have only spent about 5 days apart since.  He proposed within 8 months (June 9, 2006) married a year later (June 2, 2007) and were pregnant with our first baby 6 months later (December 2007).  So when I said I move fast...I meant it!!

We have been through so much together in our short 5 years!  Two beautiful little girls, a severe stint with postpartum depression (which I still struggle with) anxiety caused by some meds, family drama, building a house and all the other ups and downs you go through.  I truly believe God led me to him and made him just for me!!  I am not the easiest person to be with, and he knows exactly how to calm me down, and love me!  He is truly my best friend, lover, partner and soul mate.  He loves me at my worst and enjoys me at my best!  I pray everyday that my girls will find a man just like their daddy!!

Love,
Carole
